What is a parallelism?
Parallelism (also known as Parallel structure) use the same elements within the sentences and to keep the words the same.
Example of a nonparallel structure: We spent the hour in the class room reading the chapters of our assigned books, writing notes inside our notebooks, and we fidgeted our thumbs.
Inside the sentence, there is an error how the words are written. The words reading and writing are in participle phrase, except fidgeted.
The correct way should be written like this: We spent the hour in the class room reading the chapters of our assigned books, writing notes inside our notebooks, and fidgeting our thumbs.
Below the page correct the errors and rewrite in the same element.
1) In the movie, people were drinking soda, munching on popcorn, and they fidgeted with their phones during the trailers.
2) At the park, people were laughing, playing Frisbee, and people jogged along the edge of the river.
3)On Christmas eve, people were buying last minute shopping spree, walking through snowy blizzard, and people waited for buses to come on time.
